One day Jinja Tour

0700 hrs: depart from your hotel in Kampala to the Eastern town of Jinja. Stop over at local handcraft stall in Mukono town then at Namawojolo fruit market.

Drive through Mabira tropical forest, where several forest birds and some primates can easily be seen. Watch out for Colobus monkeys and birds as you take a nature walk inside the forest. After the walk continue as you drive through the tea estates, sugar plantations, coffee and banana shambas; and other mixed farming activities.

Cross the Owen Fall Dam bridge built in 1954 on the River Nile (the second longest river in the world and the longest in Africa). We proceed through Jinja town and to the source of the mighty Nile. Take a boat trip to the actual source and to the memorial monument of John Speke from where he stood and confirmed the flow of Nile river water from its source.

Later we proceed to the Bujagali Falls to see some of the highest rapids used for white water rafting in Uganda. Lunch out in one of the restaurants in the nearby the falls. A very good place to take quiet walks and later on relax in one of the quiet spots.

Later in the evening, return to your hotel in Kampala.
