Day 1: Departure For Kibale Forest Park
Leave Kampala and transfer to Fort Portal, which nestles in the shadow of the fabled "Mountains of the moon" Mt. Rwenzori. Stop in Fort portal town for a lunch break; continue to Kibale Forest National Park. Visit Bigodi swamp (home of the Great Blue Turacos) in Kibale Forest National Park, marvel at small mammals, birds and primates.
Highlights are finding the rare Columbus Monkey, the sitatunga and Great Blue Turacos.
Dine and overnight at Selected lodges.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking
Day long, search of chimpanzees and 10 other primates including I'hoestes, red Colobus monkeys, blue, red tailed and Gray magabeys (types of monkeys). The guide will provide detailed explanation on primates, forest flora and fauna. The walk is both informative and enjoyable. Relax and learn while on a picnic lunch in the forest.
Dine and overnight stay at selected lodges.
Day 3:
Breakfast and leisurely drive back to Kampala with Several stopovers along the way for snacks, local crafts and lunch in Mubende town.
